So, today, for the very first time, I took the Path train to NJ to see my cousin Adin's new place and my Aunt Jeannie and Uncle Dick.
Meanwhile, earlier in the day, I went to Evan's to meet him with breakfast because he'd been gone for 5 days and I missed him. He's obsessed with egg-whites, so I got him an egg white wrap with cheese. When I walked into his apartment, it smelled soooo bad because he forgot to take the garbage out before he left. So I took it out and returned to find Evan falling asleep in his chair, COVERED IN CHEESE. Seriously, it was all over his face and arms and shirt. I have no idea how it happened. It was hilarious and also really gross. Although my love cannot be chased away by dairy-products, I have to admit that I was kind of happy to head to Jersey. (I prefer my boyfriend when he is not wearing his food).
Anyway, NJ was really neat, because, for better or worse, my whole Dad's side of the family has lived in Jersey at some time or another, and my Aunt Jeannie is the keeper of the family stories. We drove along the streets, and she pointed out the street on which my great-grandparents met (my great-grandfather thought my soon-to-be great grandmother was Jewish, so after 5 years of confusion he finally realized she was Lutheran and that was close enough to Catholic for him), lots of other important family-event locations, and the cemetery where nearly all of our relatives are buried. Macabre fun! Then we had an awesome Italian dinner, which was super-yummy and totally made my day.

Mid-Finals Madness Post!
So, I have one more final to go, which is a miracle, but also crappy because, um, I have to take a test soon. So, I thought I would be semi-productive in my procrastination and update my much-neglected blog.
My Life Updates!
1) While listening to Pandora, I realized the real lyrics of this song, and was really alarmed that I'd never questioned why I thought they were saying "Fly away, on my cell phone"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fcRa5Z6LmU
2) Saw Neil Patrick Harris (of "Dougie Howser" and "How I Met Your Mother" fame) coming out of the subway at Times Square. He is so hot (and yes I know he's gay but since when has that stopped me from dreaming?)!!
3) Probably failed my Civil Procedure exam. No really. It was that disastrous.
4) Due to #3, have been spending a lot of time Googling alternative legal careers. Most of them involve ambulance-chasing, which, since CitiBank thinks it's fun to send me "optional" loan statements, is sounding like a more and more appealing option.
I've found that there is an inverse relationship between your level of school debt and your ideals (as the former goes up, the latter goes down). So I totally understand if you'll never speak to me again if my office number one day is 1-800-SLIPANDFALL
5) But, on the bright side, have been eating a lot of cupcakes and hanging out with Kat (hi Kat!), which has been super awesome!!
6) I found Anna Sui sunglasses in my Dad's car, because a customer left them in the restaurant he works at and never claimed them. My dad thought, cool, new sunglasses, and did not realize their designer, vintage appeal. I feel bad that now he has to squint, though : (
7) I can't stop watching reruns of "The Hills". (I know so bad!!!!!)
8) I miss Evan because he's in Florida, but we are going to San Diego in July which I'm really excited about! So from now until then I'm stocking up on self-tanner so as not to blind fellow beach-goers with my ghostly-paleness.
9) I have a neighbor who enjoys putting up passive-aggressive signs up in the garbage room. The last one read "Meat scraps are NOT recycling!", which is true. But the new one is downright angry, "If you don't know how to recycle, you should not live in this building". Whoa.
While I totally agree with the note-leaving person, not only in an eco-friendly way, but also in a concerned-about-potential-roach-infestation way, I feel like angry notes are not the way to go. I fear that whoever the moron is who doesn't realize that pork-chops aren't recyclable will step-up their improper recycling campaign in retaliation, and nothing will ever be solved. Drama.
10) Kiley told my dad that he should adopt a 9 year old British girl. Because she wants to have a sister her own age, and she would prefer one with an accent.
Anyways, that is all that's going on here. Despite the law-fail, everything is going pretty well!
